ImageLink is a web service that provides cost effective access to high resolution imagery from the convenience of your existing GIS desktop software. For as little as $200 per month, organisations can view imagery covering 4.5 million land parcels or approximately half the population of Australia.
The imagery appears as a layer in the GIS software and can be used in the same manner as local imagery sets without the need to store Terabytes of data on the local machine. ImageLink utilises the Open GIS Consortium WMS protocol to provide imagery direct to your desktop software. A thin ImageLink client application is installed on the desktop to provide security and allow the user to track their usage. It is possible to assign a reference to each image delivery to allow job costing.
ImageLink Desktop is compatible with software that accommodates the OGC WMS 1.1. ImageLink trials are available for download to confirm compatibility. The following products provide WMS connection services:
The imagery provided in ImageLink is in the MGA94 projection. Local data sets should also be in MGA to improve response time.
